Privacy

Your Mac stays yours.

This policy describes the current Meldara preview and the website as of September 26, 2026.

Data kept on your Mac

Meldara stores preferences, quick notes, bookmarks, clipboard history, and timer state locally on your Mac. The current app does not contain advertising or a third-party analytics SDK, and Meldara does not sell personal information.

Optional permissions

  • Camera access is used only for the on-device mirror after you grant permission.
  • Calendar access is optional and is used to show your day inside Meldara.
  • Input Monitoring may be needed for enabled global input and feedback features.
  • Accessibility and Apple Events permissions are optional and power the Mac integrations you choose to enable.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in macOS System Settings.

Media artwork and local clipboard history

When Spotify supplies an artwork URL, Meldara requests that image over HTTPS from the artwork host. This is a network request, even though Meldara stores its app data locally. Enabled clipboard history saves captured entries on your Mac; review and clear that history in the app when needed.

Website and subscriptions

The website host may process routine request logs, cookies, and aggregated visitor analytics needed to operate and understand the site. When subscriptions launch, RevenueCat and the selected purchase provider will process subscription identifiers, purchase status, and payment-related information under their own privacy terms. Meldara will not receive your full payment-card number.

Your choices

You can remove local Meldara data from the app or macOS, revoke permissions in System Settings, and manage a future subscription through its purchase provider. Visit the support page for current release information.
